> Beautiful woman want to be your wife

If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you
Loretta Eisenberg - 29 Dec 2005 01:25 GMT
Wow, do I remember that song Jan,  As a matter of fact. because I was a
pretty woman, I didnt get married till I was 24 at a time when everyone
was 18.  lol

You girls are too much! That song is good advice, by the way.... I used to
be a lifeguard at a major university swimming pool back in the 60's, olympic
size... Picked a pretty woman... You can imagine the rest of the story.
Anyway, I lucked out and got a really good one for no. 2. Lucky for me, she
is pretty, too!

Geez, I thought for a moment you were going to admit she was
ugly! Would take a brave man :)
wmmckee@cox.net - 29 Dec 2005 05:02 GMT
Hey Oz... Being married to a truly ugly woman would be a little bit like
being electrocuted... It could be killing the man, and he might be unable to
let go! Come to think of it, that is exactly what a bad marriage is like,
for either the man, or the woman, when they cannot decide to let go, that
is.

Through the years I have met women that I thought were plain or even
homely at first sight, but they became more and more beautiful as I
got to know them and saw the beauty that comes from within.

I have also met some women who could have been beauty queens, but
after getting to know what they were really like I found out what is
meant by the old saw, "Ugly runs clear to the bone." Quite often they
were so self absorbed that no one could stand to be near them for more
than a few minutes unless that person was of the same conceited mind
set.

You are so right, Loretta! I would NEVER fib about something like that....

In truth, I doubt there are very many truly ugly women, at least not if they
take care of themselves. Yet, I can imagine there are many "beautiful"
models who might become "ugly" in a twinkle, after a day or two of wedded
life.

Like men are saints, right

No woman in my opinion has ever left a good husband to make her life
more difficult than it was when they were together.

Far far from it.
I don't understand infidelity in men or women at all.

>No woman in my opinion has ever left a good husband to make her life
>more difficult than it was when they were together.

Oh I have seen that happen with both sexes. Usually they had gotten
mixed up with another person and got some pie in the sky vision that
if they could be with that person their life would be just perfect for
ever.

What has been shocking to me is that in the past year three couples
that we know who had all been married for over 30 years suddenly broke
up. One of the three are back together after he found the grass wasn't
as green as he thought and they are trying very hard to work on their
marriage. The other two went ahead with the divorces and in neither
case was there someone else in the picture. When people have been
together for that long it sure makes one wonder what was going on
behind closed doors for all those years.

you need to water your lawn :-)

Due to diabetes, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.

(I have to get out of bed 3 times a night to water the lawn, but I
haven't been able to fertilize a lawn in 10 years)

LOL

A lot of wisdom in that one Evelyn.
If people would put as much effort into their own relationship as they
do in a cheating one they wouldn't want to stray to begin with.

Yep!

says "3 Brazilians died yesterday" and Dubya replies "Oh that's a
shame............   by the way.... how many is in a brazilian?"

The grass is never greener.  It is just a different shade.

I didnt say when a man leaves for another woman,  I mean that a woman
doesnt throw out a good husband to make THEIR LIFE MORE DIFFICULT.

There are always exceptions.

When the  door closes, you dont know what goes on inside,  One or the
other could be a silent torturer.  We always think that the person
screaming their heads off is the bad one,  What is the other person
doing to the screamer that lead to the point of her screaming.  Lots of
silent torturers.

All I can attest to, is that *I* am a saint, or will be made one after
I croak......

Sleepy

"I used to think I was poor. Then they told me I wasn't poor, I was needy. Then they
told me it was self-defeating to think of myself as needy, I was deprived. Then they
told me deprived was a bad image, I was underprivileged. Then they told me
underprivileged was overused, I was disadvantaged. I still don't have a dime,
but I sure have a great vocabulary."

Yes, "ugly" really has nothing to do with looks. A friend of
mine got angry once, a beautiful woman, I was amazed at how
ugly she looked in anger and I wasn't sure whether it was
just what I was "seeing".
Loretta Eisenberg - 29 Dec 2005 20:47 GMT
Jmo, but the most handsome man or the most beautiful woman can be so
ugly in just a moment of knowing their character.

I once had a crush on a boy when I was a kid.  He was the best looking
guy in the neighborhood.  I heard  him cursing at his mother.  He became
the ugliest person on earth in that moment.

Stangely I am attracted to so-called ugly people. They often
have fantastic personalities and this totally detracts from
any perceived "flaws" ;)

My ex was not beautiful in the classic sense but in *my* eyes there were
none better.  I married a complex person with a great personality.
Appearance was never a consideration.... and I never regretted it.
