Anybody had any experiences making their own low-carb bread using a bread maker.
I've tried all kinds of low-carb bread, and they all seem to cause spiking.

I like to sop bread in bean juice and beef drippings.

A recipe would ne nice.

ok il give it my best shot.

1 piece of bread cut in half
small amount of bean juice
small amount of beef drippings.

1-combine been juice and
beef drippings in the bottom of a pan.
2-holding 1/2  the bread in hand lower it to bottom of pan
3-wipe it along the bottom clock wise
4-flip bread and wipe  counter clock wise
5- bring to mouth and enjoy

repeat steps 2 - 5 as needed.

as far as the part of the recipe where you make the beans
that might depend on the type of beans being used.
hmm beans and metformin - i know what im eating next time the wife is bad.
remember depending upon how much you chew your beans will effect the music
after.
i do believe the less you chew the more you toot.

Look at the nutrition facts and the ingredient list. Six grams of carbs.
Proprietary blend(almond meal, whole wheat flour, unbleached flour, soy
flour, oat flour, sesame flour). Usually the largest ingredients are
listed first. Some of the low carb breads use sprouts.

Sour dough and rye breads may spike less than most. I usually buy stone
ground whole wheat bread since I can handle a sandwich for lunch. I
haven't been that successful with the bread machine. The loaves endup
heavy and don't rise that much.

There were some posted in  alt.food.diabetic.  I think it was Priscilla who
posted it recently.  I'm still in the experimenting phase with mine and I
don't use a bread machine.

Some time ago I reported that I had made bread using Gram flour (made from Chana Dal) (not Graham
flour) that I bought at an Indian grocery store. The Gram flour has a very low glycemic index of 10
as compared to 100 for wheat flour.

Has any one else made bread with this flour.?
If so, please report your results.

P.S. I also use this flour for making great pancakes.
