I just heard on fox news that November is diabetes month.  Is this the
first time there has been a diabetes month.  It is good because it will
make people aware.

November is National Diabetes Awareness Month.

March is National Diabetes "something-or-another" Month.

You will find a bunch of Diabetes Fairs,   Diabetes Expos,   or whatevers
given during both months.

Our local hospital does one in November.   The hospital in the next city
does theirs in March.     Free blood tests,  free A1c,  free urine tests,
often free meters,   free foot exams,  free lectures,   etc, etc.

Did I mention "free".

Some of the races or race expos I've been to also had free foot exams -- at
least, a podiatrist looks at your foot, but I don't think it includes a
filament test. They are aimed at runners, after all, not diabetics.

They have this here in France, too.  There is a three-day salon going on
right now, with exhibits, talks, workshops, etc.
