It's not uncommon in diabetics, but so far this bullet has missed me though
I have the warning of neuropathy (treated successfully with Topiramate),
plus other vascular problems.

Statistically, CLI/PAD is in my future and I'd like to avoid amputation, so
keep track of new medical techniques in the area. I saw the FDA approval of
Spectranetics' "cold excimer laser" technology for clearing small vessel
occlusion, and the claim of a very high success rate among amputation
candidates - even those who were already scheduled for surgery.

Has anyone here gone through the procedure?

Looks like most of the research being done on this is being done in
Canada.
There is another procedure now being done that inserts a probe into
clogged arteries and actually scrapes plaque off the arterial walls.
It shows almost instantaneous result with PAD, and they think will
work in the heart also.  As a sufferer of PAD, it could be a major
life changer for me.
