I'm sorry but I won't be posting anything anymore. I got a email from
someone from this group. They said I posted stupid posts. That they made no
sense and that I should stop. They don't you notice people don't pay
attention to you. So I think it's best I stop. You all have been kind and
helpful. Thank you so much.

If you still have questions and concerns about your diabetes, stick around.

Please don't go, just because of one person. I suggest you put the guilty

I wouldn't pay any attention to an idiot that would send such an email. You
have just as much right to post here as anyone else.

Do the rest of us a favor, stick around, keep posting and id the idiot. You
could even post the email, so we can all appreciate what an idiot he/she is.

Susan,

Please don't listen to that poster.  If you have questions they are
mportant to you and many of us here want to help.  Remember, no question
is stupid if you don't know the answer or are confused.

What with your curent steroid problems you need all the help and hugs you
can get.  Please don't stop posting!

Or, as someone put it, the only stupid question is one you don't ask.

And so you are going to allow ONE person to drive you away?

How does that make any sense?

I read most posts on subjects that I find interesting and if yours had
been "stupid" I am sure I would remember them and who posted them.
Since I don't, I'm pretty sure that I didn't find anything you put up
to be stupid.

The decision is yours, but for the life of me I can't see why you are
so willing to give one person with a negative attitude drive you away.

OTOH, I find any post or private email that insults another member of
our family in such a way to be really stupid and manipulative. So, I
guess the person who sent you the email is the one that is really
stupid - not you.

If by accident that _were_ the truth, you sure would be in good company on
Usenet.

In any public place you'll risk to meet the local village idiot, and Usenet
is no different - well, apart from its size. Make that "a lot of local
village idiots".

So I think it's best you continue posting.

You are feeling sorry for yourself and want people to beg you to stay?
That's always what this sort of post is about.  I've seen it time and
time again on various NG and the poster always continues to post.  The
just want affirmation that the are "ok" and the complainer is out of
line.  My money is on you continuing to post here.

Your posts are welcome and encouraged.  Surfing USENET is just like

Believe me, I've dealt with some live ones myself over the years, and

There is only one person that can drive someone away from here. That
is the person themselves. If you will remember a certain buddy accused
Mack and I of forcing him to leave. We didn't drive him away at all.
He chose to leave of his own volition.

Of course it is easier to do something if you choose to place the
blame on others rather than accepting responsibility for your own
actions.

Wrong, Chuck. You know what is said about "assumptions"?

I never "left", Chuck. My old used Compaq computer fried a motherboard.
Being finacially challenged, it took a while to get another computer. But
you'll never believe that . . .so, believe your little "assumption" if it
makes you feel superior.

And now to find you writing this . . .you still haven't changed at all, you
pompous fool. Oh, yes, the reference to "buddy" is obvious, as you intended
it to be. You and Mack were the only ones to ever call me that. It's a
compliment, BTW, since that was my step-dad's original nickname for me.

It is sad, though, to see how you attack those you think aren't around . . .
.quite the coward.

I have no reason to doubt what you said here Bud. You made it very
clear before leaving the last time that you thought Mack and I were
persecuting you and were leaving because of it.

Once again you jump to conclusions. I have not attacked you, nor did I
ever attack you except to defend myself after you made gross erroneous
assumptions about me.

I have found you  many times to be quite similar to my third son. That
is, I love Joe as a son, but quite often can't stand his behavior
since it is so terribly self-centered and he usually thinks others are
out to get him.

Budd, if I were a coward I would just ignore you rantings or killfile
you. Oh. I forgot. You in fact killfiled both Mack and I (or at least

So, according to you, listing the number of Americans killed in the
war in Iraq is "liberal/socialistic propaganda"? Is that right? In
other words you do not feel any respect whatever for the sacrifice
they have given. And you have the unmitigated gall to call yourself a
patriot and a Christian. That proves you to be a prevaricator of the
worse kind. Pathetic!

The Bible is my armor, my shield, my support, my beliefs, my all. Tis better
that I parrot the writings of a God that loved me enought to be the
sacrifice for my sins than to parrot the secular world's lies, deceptions
and evil.

> > That's what you are asking

Wrong, Chuck. I have never asked you to put down any book that supports your
beliefs, though I have refused to read them. In that we have agreed, since
YOU refuse to read the Bible. And, although I have on occasion asked you to
not quote from them, you continue to do so. OTOH, if I quote Scripture, you
come completely unglued, DEMANDING THAT I STOP, ASSAULTING MY BELIEFS,
CASTING ASPERSIONS ON MY SANITY AND INTELLIGENCE.

Now who's being the bigot again??? Don't point your finger at me, there are

It matters to me, but I can't bring them back, nor can you. They died as
soldiers of the U.S., with honor. Maybe you should ask some of their
compatriots' opinions of the war before you slam Pres. Bush. I asked my son
while in the Navy some months after 9/11, if a poll had been taken aboard
ship when 9/11 happened. He said that when the Dixie Chicks country western
group slammed President Bush and the War for Iraqi Freedom, the sailors on
the Harry S. Truman, that had their CD's, found novel ways to destroy them:
catapulted off the bow, toasted in F-18 exhaust, taped them to the deck
where the planes touched down, used for skeet shooting, etc. That showed
about 3000 voices contrary to your voice.

In a democracy, numbers count.

> A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.

Forget to pay your light bill? This comment of yours is not applicable. You
are not sharing knowledge, just propaganda. The difference? "Knowledge" is
available without animosity or political intent, "Propaganda" is nothing but
political intentions, usually negative.

You have a right to your opinion and to have a wrong opinion. You do not
have the right to make me give you my opinion, and I have the right to not
give it and to be offended by your commentaries about my not giving my
opinion, which I am.

BTW, Chuck, what POSITIVE thing have you offered to end the war?

> Love is giving all with no conditions.
> Love is expecting nothing in return.

Too bad you don't understand this as well as you think you do.

> Bud you and I can continue to flame one another or we can choose to
> show our love of God by giving it freely to each other. Your choice my
> brother.

No, Chuck, it's always been your choice. The only problem I have with you is
your bigotry towards Christianity and Christians that don't roll over and
play dead when you tell them to. That's where you fail in your understanding
of the definition of unconditional love. Maybe that why I'm such a pain in
your backside. You've repeatedly proved your lack understanding
unconditional love by your assaults on me for my beliefs.

My belief that a book was inspired to be written by an omnipotent God, who
could create a Universe in six days, appear as a man if He desired, could
speak from a burning bush that did not burn up, could be born of a virgin
girl and take a fleshly body to be the sacrifice for my sins because He was
the AUTHOR OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, then rise three days later from the grave
to give me the hope of an Eternal Life with Him. And why the male gender?
Because in the languages of the people He chose to care for as His own, all
their names for Him are male gendered; Elohim: ( Male gender) The
Three-In-One God), JHVH: God Eternal, Abba: (slang) Father, or more
precisely, Daddy, Eloi: Father.

All my other beliefs hinge on that. To be my spiritual brother, one must
believe in the God I believe in and what He taught thru His disciples,
Prophets, and People, the Israelites. If you want to call me "your brother"
then be my guest, just don't expect me to believe the same because you say
it.

Oh, btw, the God of Abraham and Israel hasn't spoken directly to anyone for
2000 years, so you believe in a different god than I. Understand now?

I do not slam you, as you put it. I disagree very strongly with your
view of religion. Any religion - any - that is fear based has very
little to do with God's love of us all.

No, I am not blinded by my bigotry at all. I very definitely am
bigoted against any religion that is based in fear. God is not
something to be feared. God is unconditional love and would never do
anything to punish any of us. We do a very good job of that all by
ourselves.

Perhaps you might benefit by something I love to read every day:

FOOTPRINTS

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:

"My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of
footprints, it was then that I carried you."

[quoted text clipped - 11 lines]
>Ah, denial of responsibility. Funny, your attitude towards me is quite

Wrong again.

My son, like his mother, feels the world is out to get him and owes
him a living. He will take anything he can by whatever means possible
with no regard to whether his actions hurt someone else or not. He
persuaded us to co sign two loans so he and his first wife could buy a
mobile home. When he defaulted on those loans we had to pay them. Then
when he took bankruptcy he included us on the list of people he owed
so now believes he is under no obligation to repay us. His actions had
a very detrimental effect on our credit rating.

You say I dislike my son. Nothing could be further from the truth. I
love him. I detest what he has done and hope some day he will admit he
has harmed us and make restitution. I have told him a number of times
that for every dollar he pays us I will subtract three from his debt.

I say his behavior is like his mothers because she is envious of
anyone who has things she doesn't, even her own children, regardless
of how hard they have worked to get where they are. A number of times
she has persuaded people to sell her things and then never paid for
them and has only gotten angry when they asked for payment.

I don't really see you as ever doing any of those things. I see you as
being an honest kind hearted man who always pays his debts and is
gracious to those he owes. I am sure if you and I knew each other on a
personal level you would treat me with the respect I deserve. However,
online you can let the evil side come through with no fear of
embarrassment or of public ridicule. Is that the Christian way?

GOD NEVER WROTE A BOOK OR ANYTHING ELSE.
GOD DOES NOT OWN A PRINTING PRESS AND HAS NO NEED OF ONE.
GOD IS IN ALL THINGS, ALL AROUND US, AND SPEAKS TO EACH OF US EVERY
SINGLE DAY IF WE WILL ONLY LISTEN WITH AN OPEN HEART.

The Bible is a book written by men - mostly Roman Catholic Monks -
with an agenda to control the masses. It is a combination of a very
slanted view of history in a very small part of the world and a group
of legends and superstitious writings. Many religious sects at the
time had stories of virgin births and of resurrections from the dead.
They just didn't happen to convince a Roman Emperor to adopt them as
his religion and thus be forced on the masses.

Liberals - true liberals - have very little voice in the mass media.
It is for the most part completely controlled by Bush supporting quasi
conservative Republicans. Just look at who owns them and who they
contribute to.

Because they bought into the Rove line of bullshit laid out by Bush,
Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, Donald H. Rumsfeld, Cheney and others.
You can believe that I have held my senators and representatives' feet
to the fire hundreds of times for their being so gullible. They didn't
even have the balls to declare war on Iraq.

However, it was and is Bush's responsibility from beginning till now
with no end in sight.

Those three factions have been at war since before the Bible was
written and Bush is so damned stupid that he thinks we can change it
by killing a bunch of them. RIDICULOUS to the point of being absurd!

sh.t!
Bush, Cheney and Rove are doing everything in their power to gut the
Bill of Rights except for the Amendments they like.

Uh, what is the "liberal agenda's tire"? For that matter, what is the
imagined "liberal agenda"? I haven't seen one.

I, as an individual, favor a national health care cradle to grave
program similar to Sweden's. However, I haven't seen that in any
writings. I see nothing in the newspaper about any formal Liberal
Party. I certainly have not seen anything like that from the
Democratic Party. I get as much propaganda from the Republicans as I
do from the Democrats, which thankfully is very little. I have enough
crap to put in our recycling bin without ever opening it as it is.

>> >> God loves you and so do I. Live with it.
>> >
[quoted text clipped - 9 lines]
>child playing can inspire a author to write, or a crash of a wave can

And so have many, many other such things been inspired by one person
or another's view of God's beauty and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. After all
God lives in everything and every being equally. God lives in the
lowly cockroach as much as She does in you and I.

>Yes, others wrote it for Him . . .call it Holy Ghost writing if you wish.

I don't. God has never told anyone to write down anything including
the Ten Commandments.

In other words what you just said is they did not believe the Dixie

What they did is also a protected right. So what is your point? Oh.
That's right. You don't think anyone should ever object to the
President's actions. That is called censorship and is common under
dictatorial governments. Is that what you want - so long as it
includes YOUR brand of hate filled Christianity?

>In a democracy, numbers count.

NEWS FLASH!
THE UNITED IN NOT NOW NOR HAS IT EVER BEEN A DEMOCRACY.
We are a republic with a representative government.

You had best thank your lucky stars that we are not a true democracy.
You do know how a true democracy would work don't you?
No minority would have any rights unless the majority out of some
altruism gave it to them. This country would be totally controlled by
large metropolitan areas such as NYC and LA and small population
states like Utah, where you live, and Iowa, where I live would be
totally dependant on them.

You are not a pain in my backside at all. I pity you and pray for you

You have steadfastly refused to give your beliefs. Instead you repeat

still have right to.

What a terrible and hateful thing to say to anyone!!!!
We are all brothers and sisters under God's love. There is only one
God. God does not care what you call Her/Him/It nor whether we worship
or not.

How does it feel to believe you are in a religion that hates all non
believers and that God will condemn you, his most precious creation,
to an eternity of damnation if you don't tow the line just so?

Fear based religions have cost the lives of millions and millions of
people down through the ages and continue to in Iraq and other
countries today.

>Oh, btw, the God of Abraham and Israel hasn't spoken directly to anyone for
>2000 years, so you believe in a different god than I. Understand now?

No. I find that statement to be totally false. Why would God freely
speak to people and then suddenly shut up? Ridiculous. God
communicates with everyone every single day if we will but listen. I
feel sorry for people who have such a closed mind that they refuse to
hear God's song.

If these dissertations must be so long we need to take them to email.

In point of fact, I did not "deride Christianity" on the whole - just

No, you are the one that says Christian hatred and bigotry is the cause of
the ills of the world, Chuck.

I just take issue with your claims.

Nope. You bad mouth me or my faith here, and here is where I'll reply.

> Quit being such a cry baby and grow up.

Oh, oh, I stepped on widdle Chuckie's toes.

> How many describe Budd's behavior in ASD?
> NOT A SINGLE ONE.

If you would read the Bible, then you would see that I am following the Word
of God in it's entirety, and not just some unsubstantiated definition you
possibly fabricated. I can, according to the Bible, defend my beliefs and
the Scriptures. Nothing in the Bible says Im have to tolerate abuse. Turn
the other cheek? I have, till I've run out of cheeks.

We both have the right to offend others and do not have the right to not be
offended. We both can chose to ignore the other, killfile the other, or
respond. You make your choice and I make mine on this threads.

Chuck, I never make these comments or replies until someone, usually one of
those bragging about their tolerance of others like yourself, decides to
slam me, or my faith. Without those slams, I have no need to respond, do I?

Will I mention something from the Bible in future posts and replies? Yes,
undoubtably. It who I am and what I believe and if I have a quote that might
help another, then why is it worse than a quote from anyone else's book? I
have the right to quote it without derision the same as you from any book
you choose to quote and have. I also, as you've done from various books you
read, correct errors about what is said in the Bible.

But you've always jumped my case about it because you don't accept the
Bible. Sorry, but that opinion does not give you the right to slam me or my
faith.

Who needs to grow up, Chuck? You. Because you can't do that which you demand
of others and that which you brag that you do. It's funny how so often,
those that brag on their tolerance have the most biases.

said to suit your mistaken opinion of me.

Slam you?
Me?
What are you talking about?
You are quite paranoid and delusional.

>Will I mention something from the Bible in future posts and replies? Yes,

Good.
I man mention writing from other books written by men and women. Too
bad the bible was only written by men. Do you know there were books
written by women that the Pope decided to leave out?

>It who I am and what I believe and if I have a quote that might

It is not unless you say something like, "You must believe this or
perish for all eternity." Then it is hateful bigotry of the worst
kind.

> I
>have the right to quote it without derision the same as you from any book
>you choose to quote and have. I also, as you've done from various books you

Are there not a number of versions of the bible? How then can you
possibly say one is right and the others are wrong? All are open to
interpretation by the readers.

>But you've always jumped my case about it because you don't accept the

You do not fit any of the descriptions of a Christian listed on
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=Christian
What then is your faith? It certainly is not Christian regardless of
what you call it.

>Who needs to grow up, Chuck? You.

I am mature enough to admit that I don't know it all and that no one
else does either and mature enough to know that God never wrote a
single line in any book.

> Because you can't do that which you demand

My bias, my brother, is your childish name calling hateful bigoted
behavior toward me.

When was the last time you posted anything that might be helpful to
another diabetic. Sure you posted as very short and foolish one this
morning after me chiding you to do so. "Foolish?" You bet! Telling
people to test only twice a day. Know what? My doctor advised me to do
the same thing. To which I asked him, "Do you think my A1c tests have
been good for the last several time?" He said they have and to keep up
what I have been doing. Then I told him the only reason they are is
because I have learned to test anywhere from two to six times daily
and to test after meals, not just before meals as he had told me to
do.

Any diabetic who wants good control is fooling themselves if they only
test twice a day and then just their FBG, before meals and at bedtime.
They will never know what happens after they eat.

Now - either cut the religious bullshit or take it to email.
Did you get the email I sent you yesterday?

Many books were inspired by what the writer thought God wanted them to
record. God never wrote a single word in any book. Not one. God
doesn't need to. God doesn't need or want anyone to worship Him. God
does not need any formal religious beliefs. She loves us all equally
without restrictions of any kind. It is unconditional love. Why is it
you can't get your head around that concept?

Oh, wait. I know. That would mean that you actually are NOT any better
than every other living thing in the entire Universe and you just
couldn't accept that.

BULLSHIT!!
The Roman Catholic Bible is much older and more likely to be the
closest to the original Greek translation. It is common knowledge that
King James dictated what could and could not be included because he
couldn't accept some what was in the Roman Catholic Bible. I guess
that means that today you can write your own Bible and call it the
Budd Cochran Bible and expect everyone to accept it and throw out
their old ones.

Nowhere, unless you expect others to believe you really are a
Christian. But of course we all know you are not. You are a hate
filled bigot and Jesus Christ taught love - not hatred.

[quoted text clipped - 3 lines]

>Then you say that no god is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, or holy?

There is only one God and She is everything. She is everything and
nothing at the same time. If you weren't afraid to read "Conversations
With God" you would already know that.

So you believe that God is omnipotent. Good. That means you believe
that God is directly responsible for all things, be they good or evil.
About time you admitted the truth.

There was nothing foul-mouthed about it. It is a common English word.

Not at all.
If someone wants close control they need to test at many different
times of the day and hopefully more than just twice.
If they don't care they can do like many diabetics I know who almost
never test.

>> Now - either cut the religious bullshit or take it to email.

on one he was just fine. Give him an audience and he instantly became
an a.shole who would insult anyone on his crew in front of the public
in the mistaken belief it made him look like a good foreman. All it
really showed what a low life son of bitch he really was. Everyone
celebrated when he retired.

>Now you cut the assaults on me and my faith and we won't need to say

And will you stop your assaults on me and my beliefs? Why would I

course you won't be getting the attention you are now and your ego may
suffer.
