Question on muscles, and tooth drift.

I have severe muscle tightness, and spasm problems.  On my back, up to
my neck, and into my jaws.  Have been to doctors and specialists, and
received muscle relaxers.  Only seemed to exacerbate the problem, so I
quit.

Have undergone some major dental work during the past year.  Tooth
extraction, and two bridges.

With unusual muscle problems, I have had to make numerous trips for
bite adjustments.  My bite would change throughout the day.  The
slightest tooth movements, can feel like a major bite maladjustment.
Then some pain would begin in certain teeth, only to disappear when my
bite changed again!

All seems to be related to a good muscle spasm day, or a bad one.
Stuck in this quagmire, I now have to wait several days in order to
see if there is any "consistent" bite problem, before I have it
checked.  I also have a fear of crying wolf, that can make any dentist
irritable.  Fortunately, I have a very patient dentist.  Even
interrupted him at home a couple times with a problem that he took
care of immediately.

On some days, I can feel a muscle reach through my neck, under my jaw,
then up into a certain tooth.  It effects upper teeth, as well.

Any research on the connection between jaw muscles, and tooth drift?
Or tooth pain?

A night guard helped a lot with my clenching and TMJ.  I'm about to purchase
a third one ... I wear holes in them.
