I live in Central Texas with my girlfriend and she has very, very weak
teeth.. She brushes and flosses more than i do but her teeth just
always seem to decay. She doesn't do drugs, she eats healthy and has
no major medical problems. Several of her back teeth have already been
removed because they were so bad. This obviously is causes quite a bit
of self consciousness.
We both have modorate incomes, and the total out of pocket cost for
all the dental work that she needs is around 10k. that's without
insurance. Does anyone know of any good dental insurance that would
help out with the cost??? Also... does anyone know of any preventative
action that can be taken other than the usual brushing and flossing
daily?? I know that some dentists out there do pro-bono work as
well.... any info is much appriciated. I just want her to feel good
about her smile!

No dental insurance is going to help unless it is part of a group
policy from your employment.  Even then, it's only going to pay
one to two thousand per year.

99% chance of a sugar habit between meals (usually soft drinks,
but can be breath mints, cough drops, sweetened tea or coffee,
raisins, pastries, cookies, etc.)

Nothing will last (and new problems will abound) until that has been
dealt with.

Sorry,
D
