Anyone tried/uses catridge type alginate substitue ?

Am considering it for making bis-acryl temps.
Currently using VPS heavy body in certain posterior cases.
Anterior multiple units, veneer cases,  or FPDs get custom
constructions by lab or chairside technics.

Just wondering ?

Comments ?

Yes, Amatus; "WAT ?"

Haven't yet.  I use a VPS in a triple tray.

Lab temps are pretty, no?  Just make sure the finished
pocelain is good too! <G>

I haven't.  What is it made of?  And as long as you're using a
cartridge, what's the advantage over VPS?

Newb, from what I've heard the cartridge alternatives are more
technique sensitive (esp to moisture) than alginate. Also I think the
costs involved would be greater than using putty; I don't see a
cartridge being enough for more than 2-3 trays.

George

The office I work in on Thursday/Friday uses this type of material.  I can
ask over there about it tomorrow if you like.

BTW,,,,,,      Henry,,,,  do you ever have your cell-phone on?  Especially
Friday evenings?

Sure, but would like your assesment as well.

Yes and No, er uh mebbe ?

Cell phone largely stays in the er uh, vehicle, yeah that's the
ticket. That way I didn't have to say truck.  Egad ! whoops...

Friday I get out of the office at noon or so...
Then my activities are varied, but usually go to the, um er,
"camp". Depends largely on the weather.

All that above doesn't help one bit does it ?

They like the simplicity of the ease of mix of that stuff.

If I want to chat a bit on Friday evenings (on the way home from "Up North",
which line is best to call on?  Home?  Cell?  Or,,,,,,,,,,, are you
generally simply away from any phone at that time?  I don't have a phone
number for you at the "camp".  Do you have a land line there?
