Is there any difference in using a sodium fluoride gel vs. a stannous
fluoride in preventing cavities and sensativity, or are they equally
efficient?  Assume both have a similar percentage of flouride.  Thanks.

Those are switched depending on the abrasive used in the dentifrice.

Which still use stannous fluoride?  I remember it was the original
formulation of Crest, with "Floristan".  I believe sodium fluoride may
be more stable and have a longer shelf life.
But I believe you're right--it is the abrasive used that determines the
best form of fluoride.

Wow, I'm way behind on the marketing.  I remember Colgate with Gardol,
and Bucky Beaver.
