I to had crown lengthening done 13 days ago and the pain is
horrible. If I live through this I will never have this done again as
long as I live on this earth! I have emtied a large bottle of Advil
and used up everything else just to keep
working!
If anyone else out there is thinking of having this done GOD HELP YOU
and be sure to take a month off from work !

How many teeth involved?  To get this magnitude of pain is unusual.
Was a packing placed?

I agree with Dr. Bornfeld. Crown lengthening normally is very simple
and predictable. Most patient have very little discomfort after 2-3
days. The only time a patient has a problem after 13 days normally an
infection is involved.
