Hi, I've got a crown that's held in place using temporary cement.
Should I.be concerned about the temporary cement dissolving?
My dentist says don't worry about it.

Depends on how long you need to keep it on the tooth.  Generally, a good
fitting crown will stay on for a L-O-N-G time with temporary adhesives.

The temporary crown is just to cover the tooth while your permanent
crown is being prepped.  If your temp falls out you can get some
cement at CVS and glue it back on.  I used the cement on the outside
surface of the temp crown to smooth it out because it was digging into
my tongue.  Worked great !!
