I have had a TMJ problem for sometime.  In the last six weeks I have a
problem with my throat and swallowing and discomfort when i turn my
head etc.  Is there a connection sometimes with TMJ problems and the
throat?

A problem with the TMJ is generally muscle spasms.  IF the muscle spasm
includes some of the neck muscles, there can be stiffness turning the head.
Throat and swallowing should not be related.
