we have bought one of these and the charging system eludes me.....
I have always understood to charge something mechanical contact ie brass,
copper, steel, silver, gold contacts has to be made.
With the Vitality, the Brush has a pocket in the base with no visible
contacts and it sits on a plastic stork 240VAC supplied with absolutely no
metal to metal contact.
How does it work.............

When my dentist reccomended a power tooth brush (this was while I
was still harming my teeth with fluoride) I went to look. They
were about $100 for the rechargable kind. At one point I noticed
one in the grocery store for $10, that used replacable alkaline
batteries. I can buy a lot of alkaline AA cells for $90, so I
bought it.
May be some money saving for you, too. Except that you've already
bought it.

The charging system is based on electromagnetic induction.
