I has my first Root Canal on my lower right rear molar. Thaat went
well. My dentist put the crown on that he makes with his own machine.
The first time he did it I had problems and he broke the crown pulling
it out to recement. He made another crown and put that one in. It
seems like the crown is open in the back to the soft gum tissue at the
bottom. I have had issues with bleeding when I floss and brush
sometimes. I went to see him  for the third time He polished the cemet
around the crown, he said it was irritating the gums.
He told me not to Floss or brush in that area. He gave me a special
soft brush for that area. I am somewhat perplexed. Is the crown he put
in now adequate and he doesn't want to do another?

Hard to say without at least a picture or radiograph.

If in doubt get a second opinion, in person.
