My 7 year old boy lost his front baby teeth earlier this year.
Now one of the adult teeth is growing well but thre is no sign
whatsoever of the other.

Is it usual for there to be such a discrepancy in growth rates?

Thanks.

Define 'usual' <G>.

IMO, I wouldn't say it is 'usual', but I wouldn't say it is
'rare'.  It fits more into the 'occasional' category.

Most of the time, there is nothing 'wrong' and everything
sorts itself out over time.

Sometimes, there may be crowding, a supernumery tooth, or
other condition that needs treatment.

An exam and X-ray would be needed to make any specific
recommendations.

Thanks. He has been booked in for an X-ray.

ps. I had 10 teeth taken out in hospital when I was 10
because there was overcrowding.
Maybe there's a genetic aspect to this.

Sorry about the multiple posts. Google reported that the posts hadn't
been sent.

Is Google the new AOL?

(IOWs, slowing things down and messing them up)

;-)

In terms of market share I'm afraid so.

BTW I found this... http://www.netwellness.org/question.cfm/44358.htm
and being aware that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing was
wondering if it is a good account of the potential problem.

A little overly dramatic from the cases I've seen, but fairly
accurate.

Hoping the exam gives good news.

Cool. I'm glad you added that because the wording did leave
cause for concern. I'll report back after the holidays.

Again... Thanks.
