Hi everyone. I just had 7 teeth pulled TUesday and I got my immediate
upper. I was wondering can you use adhesive before the extraction
sites have healed. and also can someone tell me the best way to insert
the denture it seems I cant get mine to sit just right all the time. I
like it so far its just so awkward and hard to speak and eat. Any tips
would be great. Thanks Shannon

No offense, but these are questions that the treating dentist
should answer.

For my patients, I think adhesives are OK in areas where teeth
have not recently been extracted, but not 'all over' the plate.
I show them how much and where to place the adhesive on the
first post-op appt. (which is the next day after insertion).

I posted suggestions for rookie denture wearers a month or so
ago.  I don't know if you have a way of looking that up or not.

i do not like adhesives for dentures especially long term use, there
are better options.

Of course there are, but not alot of people can afford them.

My thoughts exactly.

Heck, I don't even like dentures!  Life in the trenches teaches
a different lesson.  Sometimes just finding a way for patients
to cope is the best you're going to get.

Alex is an OK guy, but he lives in California where everybody
has money.

Darlos, in repsonse to your question about adhesive for denture wearers,
try using powder instead of a gel or paste. It will be so much more
comfortable.
