I have a gum-colored pimple on my gum, beside a lower-left molar which
had a RCT years ago. The endontist said she would have to re-RCT the
tooth and, if there were cracks in either of the two roots (which
would indicate a bacteria problem), the tooth would need to be
extracted and I would need either a bridge or a crown.
This was two months ago when I told her I wanted to wait a while
before treating the tooth. In the meantime, I have increased my
vitamin C intake and the pimple is disappearing. (I'm not sure, of
course, if it is because of the vitamin C. It may just be healing
itself?) I figure this is not necessarily good news. It's not going to
heal any possible crack the the root(s) of the tooth or kill any
possible bacteria. As long as there is no pain (yet), am I causing any
damage by waiting? Can any possible bacteria spread and cause any
problems? Thanks.

Vit C cannot possibly help an infected tooth.
It sounds like you have a fistual.
Get the tooth fixed <probably re-treat RCT and crown>
before the infection and/or decay destroys
any chance of repairing this tooth.
If the root is cracked it's a goner, sorry.
