Filling - sensitivity

Some of the composite filling in my tooth broke off on Thursday. I got an
emergency appointment for Friday and I had the filling replaced - but this
time with amalgam (which I prefer).

Only problem that tooth is slowly becoming more sensitive as the days go by
its not BRUTAL yet, but if I have a nice cold glass of water I will
definitley feel it.

Now it is coming up to around 3 full days since I had it - reading on the
net tells me that this is probably quite common. Itc ould even be down to
the tooth being split - which is a possibility as the filling does really
fill up the tooth.

My question is when is a good time to go back to the dentist? I don't want
to go there only for him to tell me to give it a week or so extra.

The tooth is top left - right at the back - its awkward to get to.

Its also starting to feel a tad uncomfortable....

What could the dentist suggest and do?

Go back and let him evaluate it now.
