It isn't every day that professionals who participate in this newsgroup
have the opportunity to offer their "situations" as a learning
opportunity for the group. I don't think my questions are out of line,
and I don't think Albert is avoiding the questions intentionally. I'm
sure he's busy with life and just hasn't had time to get around to
responding. I'll wait patiently.

Stradavari is trying to talk us into sending him to summer camp at
Interlochen this summer. He is trying out the Track Team for the first time
right now.

Relocating is a drastic measure. I hope that cutting staff down to
virtually nothing, and doing more myself will get us through. If not, we
either have to buy a couple of practices and put 2-3 of them together, or
sell mine and leave.
I would hate to have to find a new school for Stradavari. Finding another
prep school equal to this one would limit my choices for moving. Then,
there is the issue of finding an area with the cultural opportunities we are
used to. I doubt I would be happy in a rural area or small town, although
that is the type of region one should look for.
Life would be simpler if we can "stick it out". Right now, our State
government is so busy fighting itself, that it cannot come up with a means
to deal with some big tax shortages for next year. There are multiple
taxation plans out there which get debated, but none get chosen. The
economic climate is so uncertain, that no business would want to locate
here, and many businesses are leaving. If they could decide on a fair
system that cut un-necessary State services, tax the population and
businesses fairly, we would probably re-bound very quickly.

Have seen the commercials trying to entice businesses to
relocate to your state.
"X gives you the upper hand"
If you ask me it sounds more like an upper-cut ! <g>
Cutting taxes spurs economic growth.
Amatus Cremona - 30 Apr 2007 20:24 GMT
Not according to our Governor. She says we need higher taxes to increase
State services so we can attract new jobs. Also, she wants to greatly
increase spending to State universities so we can turn out more graduates.
What she plans to do with the thousands of college graduates already here
with no job, I have no idea. She says companies will relocate here if there
were more people with college degrees. Last time I tried to hire a staff
person, I got over a hundred resumes from one advertisement, half of the
applicants had bachelor's degrees. A couple had master's degrees.
Remember, this was for an entry level job barely more than minimum wage to
start.
It would be funny if it was not so sad!

She was just re-elected to a second term last year. She kept telling us how
we would be "blown away in five years". It is five years now and people are
being blown into other States.
Did I tell you about the Democratic minority leader who wanted to spend $38M
on giving each public school student from 1st grade through 12 an iPod? Or
the Republican AG who wanted to spend a fortune putting a private gymnasium
in his building? (after all he has 36 law enforcement officials under him
who he wants to be top physical shape). I forget the figure for the gym
right now, but it was huge. Much more than it would have cost to buy each
guy a lifetime membership at any club.
Republican majority proposed budget cuts that would force a $34 per student
cut to schools, and balance the budget. Governor rejects the plan and
proposes to cut school spending by $194 per student, and raise taxes a huge
amount and still be short $430M for next year. Actually, she keeps
rejecting any plan that does not include a huge tax increase. Apparently,
she must have (my opinion based on nothing more that hearsay) a lot of
election debts to re-pay, as she is trying very hard to increase spending to
a bunch of specific special interest groups.
65,000 people left the State last year, it is still happening this year, yet
State government cannot be reduced in size. Amazing.

That sounds like a depression to me!
The last time I was in Michigan, I was surprised at how bad things seemed
to be. I remember stopping at an interstate interchange in the north and
finding my choice of four gas stations...all four out of business!
Amatus Cremona - 02 May 2007 00:07 GMT
The news-media calls it a recession. We all refer to it as a full blown
depression. I predict a lot of banks closing soon due to the number of
foreclosures.

Yesterday, two more businesses in the neighborhood closed their doors. One
a nice restaurant which had been there fore 7 years. Every other strip mall
has 1-3 vacancies and every professional/office building has 1-5.
No new houses being built anywhere. Development of new subdivisions has
just stopped and the equipment sits idle in the mud.
And, our governor insists that once she raises taxes and increases the
number of college graduates, our economy will pick up. I told you about the
iPod scheme? How about the last one where they were going to give the
energy utilities back a monopoly on their services in exchange for
collecting a 6% tax increase on energy.

In my area....There is alots of construction of commercial areas, and
new dentist are starting up everywhere. I'm afraid when people
overbuilt and there is not enough of demands to support all the new
bissiness. Things will change......I'm in a high growth area in
between Dallas and Fort worth. However I think growth have slow down
since the end of 2006....Most people tell me it is the same in other
part of the country.
We are cutting staff our self....We went from 12 to 8 girls within the
last 6 months.

1. Was the coronoid process fractured as a result of the old trauma?
No- clear evident the coronoid was fractured....The dentist treated me
suggested it could have hair line fracture because that is where my
symptom is located. crepitation is present, at least a partial
displacement is what they have told me. We try differential diagnosis
with tests for a while. But we can't determine if myogenic,
arthrogenous or both. So I personally decided to live with the minor
problem and treat with conservative treatment....Ibuprofin as
needed....NTI......Cold Laser....

As far as I remember....I was told I have degenerative damage in my
left condyle. Ct and MRI was done with open and closing to show the
disc space was narrowed in the left.

It is an orthopedic problem, and the ROM has been stable for the last
10 years without getting worse. I do PT (passive stretching) daily

I was told in my case that ultimately will result in Surgery for Joint
reconstructive surgery.....I'm still looking for a surgeon I can trust
to do that for me......Have not happen yet, and my problem is not that
bad yet......
Eight years ago I was having a lots of problem with My problems, and
My professor John Brand in Oklahoma was helping me. When I graduated
from Dental school in 99, I feel so much better immediately, and
slowly it has stabilized by itself...It has really been a
blessing.......I told myself it is probably induced by strsss......

There is much to celebrate if the ROM has been stable and acceptable for
a decade.

If your jaw function is acceptable, why would you undergo joint
reconstruction surgery?

The NTI should be making your "problems" less problematic.

What is the purpose of the Cold Laser?
I purchased a periolase in march 2007......It does wonders to
periodontal problems, and it also have a biostimulating function. I
was very impressed with it when I used the periolase to help patients
with TMJ problem......I do it for free in the first week.....But the
patient just keep coming back....Now I charge for my services. When
ever I have discomfort.....I zap myself about 10K J that take less
than a hour...........It reduced the discomfort and make the
inflammation goes away much faster. I also have gout.....It work on my
toe too. Nd/ Laser help fight.... Pain, Infection, and inflammation.
What about the remodeling effect within that joint?
I don't know much about this one......
There is much to celebrate if the ROM has been stable and acceptable
for
a decade.
Yes I agree...........
If your jaw function is acceptable, why would you undergo joint
reconstruction surgery?
That is what I was told 10 years ago...........As I get old I probably
will need it for degenerative disease. Same thing was told about my
gout condition....there are damages done on my big toe...That I may
need surgery in the future. But as long as I function normally.....I
can live without it.
The NTI should be making your "problems" less problematic.
Yes.....It did help me and I do agree NTI is a wonderful device.......
