slow replacement of milk teeth

My 7 year old is replacing her milk teeth with adult ones; all of her
teeth are being replaced fairly quickly. However, there is one milk
tooth that she lost over two months ago and still there is no adult
replacement at all showing. Is that normal for a replacement to be
taking this long? Do we need to visit a dentist on this?

If she has not seen a dentist yet, she is overdue for a first check-up. If
she is being seen every 5-7 months, wait and have it looked at next time.
Lots of permanent teeth erupt late. However, if she has not had x-ray
images recently, you will want some done to verify the presence of a
permanent tooth and where it is.

on a purely percentage basis there is very likely little chance that
anything is wrong. sometimes a baby tooth is lost early not from the
associated adult tooth but because an adjacent adult tooth needed more
room and caused it to be lost early. in those cases, it may be a long
while before the adult tooth comes in. finally, if there is an adult
tooth missing, there is little that needs to be done now
