I've seen cases where the primary second molars were banded with a
lingual archwire attached. The archwire had two small acrylic
pontics (fake teeth) attached.
IMO, a childrens specialist would be the person to consult.
(Pedodontist or Pediatric Dentist)
Cracked roots on baby teeth are not often salvagable.
Easy, predictable treatment is often better than heroic measures
that are more difficult, less reliable, and more expensive.

Interesting. Seems that would restrict growth.
Kids aren't that concerned about losing teeth IME.
Know that I wasn't. E, F gone in a flash, they told
me not to jump on the bed.

Unless they are into acting or modelling. Then it can have huge career and
financial implications. Remember the Olsen twins?

Yep, but they are the exception and not the rule.

Ever read about all the flippers and temporaries they had to make for
Shirley Temple? They wanted her smile to be the same as she went through
the mixed dentition stages.

Saw something on TV about these little girl beauty pageants.
They had these clip on temps that am sure most have seen
in the ad-rag journals.
Man, what kind of adult are these children going to grow up to be ?
Funny the word narcissistic keeps coming to mind.

Supposedly, she would start filming a movie and lose a front tooth part way
through filming. They would fabricate a prosthetic tooth and "glue" it on
so that she would look the same for the rest of the film. I understand the
filming had to stop repeatedly as the pontic would fall off from time to
time.

Why would you take a 4 y.o. to an orthodontist ?
We would need to see an x-ray to give any meaningful
advice.
