No way to advise you from the internet on specifics. Generally, treating a
permanent tooth with RCT is the best way to go, but not always. Primary
teeth (baby teeth) are sometimes best treated with pulpotomies and
other-times best extracted.
If you don't trust your dentist, get a second opinion.

I am fine with the dentist. But when I had a root canal on my
permanent tooth, I felt a dentist used pins deeply inserted into the
roots. Will baby tooth root canal go through the same procedure?
Our dentist tried to save the tooth. I certainly hope the tooth can be
saved. But, as the permanent tooth right below the baby tooth, I am a
bit concerned the deep root treatment will touch or injury the tooth
underneath. Could this happen?
Thank you.

No. Not if done correctly.
