My overbite problem hasn't been corrected for nearly 2 years!

My major objective of doing orthodontics is to correct my overbite
problem.

See my pictures below taken in late July 2005 right before I had
braces.

My ortho played around with my teeth slowly and slowly for almost two
years.  Well, my teeth align much better now, but only a couple of
months ago, he started to correct my overbite. The overbite problem is
still pretty bad.  For example, under normal/regular facial
expression, my lips still don't naturally close and teeth are still
visible.

I live in Illinois right now, but will have to move to Washington DC
in May.  I told my ortho today, and he wanted to rush to take off my
braces.  I said, wait, my overbite problem hasn't made any change
yet!  He said, you need a little overbite. What a joke!  If I need a
little overbite, why am I paying thousands of bucks and wearing braces
for 2 years!

I told him, I can come back after May if there is a need, but I need
to have my overbite problem properly corrected.  But looks like he
still wants to rush.  I don't like what he said: "You need a little
overbite."

Is he suggesting that he has problem correcting my overbite problem?

Funny, I don't see any orthodontic appliances in these pictures.

Can't tell much from the pre-treatment pictures, and of course have no idea
what your occlusion looks like now.  Yes there should be some overbite at
the end of treatment.  Without horizontal and vertical overlap the incisors
can't function very well.

Guess we are supposed to mind meld with the pictures, focus on
every possible outcome, then magically know the current alignment.

Around here, there is an orthodontist who is known for smaller fees.  He
gets a fair amount of the local business based on fees alone.  Virtually
every single case he does, the appliances come off before I would consider
the case to be completed.  YGWYPF

Yes, I understand that.  But mouth not closing and teeth being visible
under the natural condition isn't normal.  These are supposed to be
corrected after treatment.  I will take a few pictures of my current
teeth with braces and show you.  Later.

Oh, but I did.

Check your sarcasm meter, it is obviously malfunctioning.

This is what I read & did not expect to see orthodontic appliances:

" See my pictures below taken in late July 2005 right before I had
braces."

Maybe you read another post & responded to his post in error? I'd say
his "meter" is properly calibrated.

I believe everyone agree that without seeing your clinical photo
now....We can not give us any advice. You have crowding with little
overbite problem from your pre-op photo that is what I can see. So
please post your photo now.

I have been very busy with my finals.  I have taken 4 pictures about
my teeth. See below for the link.

My overbite problem is inherited from my Mom.

I have been trusting my ortho, and I took it for granted that he could
correct my overbite problem like a breeze, but after nearly 2 years of
treatment, I still don't see any change about my overbite problem.
So, I asked him about this.  He ridiculously said that I need an
overbite.  I corrected him by saying that I don't need an overbite, I
need a normal bite.  I told him that if he had told me this 2 years
ago, I would not have started the treatment with him.  Eventually, he
said, he cannot correct my overbite problem and suggested me to go see
somebody else.

I have stopped my treatment with him and I am looking for another
ortho in the DC area.

Here are 4 pictures I took which show my overbite problem.  Dear
orthodontists here, is my overbite problem correctable, judging from
these pictures?
