NTI Again

I have an appointment now with a DMD who makes the NTI devices.  He
will look at my situation and determine what will work for me.  I hope
he can do something.  I will go for an initial examination, and they
quoted me $378 for the NTI device itself.  Sounds steep to me, but
there are only two offices in my area that even make the device, as
far as I can discover anyway.

I wanted to ask what A.G.E.LK means?  Is this another device?  Where
can I get info on it?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

The A.G.E.LK (AGELK) is a type of device/treatment that is not available
(as such) in the USA.  If you were to tell me that you live in Italy, I
would suggest the name of a dentist I know very well there who uses the
AGELK and the NTI with solid success.  There are times when he prefers
one treatment over the other and sometimes a combination of the two.
The AGELK makes use of excursive movement exercises for ten minutes,
three times a day.  And as you know, the NTI is used without any
exercise component.

I'd stick with the plan to get the NTI advice with the new dentist
you'll be seeing.  I don't know if this is a fair or reasonable
comparison but, here goes:  if your vision needs correction, a pair of
prescription lens and a fashionable frame will run you more that much
and more without the eye exam. Everything in life is relative, you know.

Keep the group informed as you go along, if you don't mind.

When you're right, you're right.  I can't put a price on saving my
teeth or sparing myself the pain grinding gives me.  So I'm going for
it.  My appointment is not till March 21, but that works out fairly
well since my appointment with my 2nd opinion dentist is March 8.
This way, I can talk to the new dentist about the NTI device when I go
in to talk about everything else I need done.  I will keep you
updated.  Thanks for being so kind to me.  :-)
