pain after extraction

A friend had some extractions 2-1/2 months ago and is still having pain (nerve
pain?) for which she is taking pain medication.  In my opinion the pain should
not last that long.  What could be causing it?

    I agree with your opinion.  Your friend should return to the surgeon to
check the healing.
