My dentist polish my teeth in every cleanup (six month). Does it cause
a lot of
enamel loss ?  Because the stains disappeared after every polishing.

Should not cause a significant amount of enamel loss--esp. compared to
other sources of damage--clenching, grinding, toothbrush abrasion.
