Does anyone know if the dentist shave a portion of chewing surface of
upper
central front teeth, does he need to grind and smooth the surface? Or
just leave it
kind of rough?

Mebbe you might "flesh out" this question a bit more for us.

Hi, Doctors:

My dentist drilled a small portion of cutting surface on
my upper front teeth to make them flat, but did not polish them after
drilling. After that, I felt the cutting surface was kind of rough,
not as smooth as before. And I felt a small slope at edge of the inner
teeth and a ridge along the slope.

Should the dentist grind off the ridge and polish surface to make to
more smooth? Or it is does not matter? Will the rough surface hurt my
bottom teeth when biting together?
