I normally don't like the term family history but this time it is. I
have always had bad teeth
that never hold up after a root canal and a crown. They always end up
breaking off. The
tooth with the crown. Money for nothing. I have several broken off
teeth now. People don't
like people with bad teeth. Thats normal I know. I can't pay $3000 per
tooth for implants
or even $1500 per tooth for implants. I tell people I need seven
implants and they say
"why don't you do it? You should care about yourself." I have spent
lots of money on my
teeth and really want to take care of them at least. I know there is
no answer here for
this.

I LOVE people with bad teeth! ;-)
Seriously, if you have extensive dentistry over a period of years and
things continue to break down, something should have been done to look
into why this is happening.  Some people are prone to decay, periodontal
disease etc., but there are usually mitigating factors under the control
of the patient and dentist to make the overall situation better or
worse.  If all these avenues have been explored with no success--I am
sorry.  But when things aren't working out one way,  you shouldn't
continue to throw money at the problem and imagine things are going to
change.
I know this is not much help--you really need a dentist who is willing
and able to get the best result possible for this.  If you are going to
a dentist who's answer as to what the magic bullet is that's going to
make everything right is the one word answer "implants"  it is highly
likely you need to make the acquaintance of another dentist.

ya  i agree to steve, there r some diseases due to which teeth &
sopporting tissue become prone disease. all u need is identify that
factor by consulting a dentist other vice ur other teeth will get
involved too . talking abt cost yes the treatment is costly but u can
either go in govt hosp or a doc u know , & let me tell u that there r
may alternative treatments also. most imp thing is that u should go to
a nice doc , bec it is not that after treatment teeth break down they
last for considerable amt of time so check this out before its to
let..........
