Braces on Posts with Crowns

Hello,

I am 39 and am considering braces. However, at the age of 20 I had a
root canal and metal posts and crowns placed in my upper 4 front teeth.
Is there any chance of destabilizing the posts by getting braces put on
them and moving the posts that are attached to the upper portion of the
teeth upward to align them with the surrounding teeth? I am concerned
that the posts will come lose from the braces.

Thanks!

Jay

There is that possibility.  However, your orthodontist will surely know
this and take measures to minimize the risk of this.
