My insurance pays for mouth guards with code D7880 ($130 my cost).  I have
bruxism and my 9-year old guard made under the same code is broken.  However,
the dentist wants me to get the guard under D9940 costing me $450 out of
pocket.  Is there a difference.  I have bruxism, not TMJ.  If I do not get
the mew guard, I may get TMJ.  My insuranec company says that it is between
me and the dentist.
