Hi, all started about 7 months ago. A mild headache on the left side of
my head only. Had a CT SCAN, MRI of head and neck also MRA, everything
is ok. Neurologist tried several drugs on me,
Verapamil did nothing
Midrin helps for a couple hours sometimes
Fioricet did nothing just made me dizzy
Fiorinal similar to fioricet
Paxil CR , made me really sick only one pill i had to go to ER though i
was dying, electrical shock all over my body, couldnt close my eyes,
really nasty stuff
Second Dr i went told me i might have an Anxiety problem recomend me to
use lexapro
Didnt do nothing at all.
Just a mild headache sometimes like a pressure feeling that makes me
stop doing whatever im doing.
I been researching and i found some info about TMJ disorders. This just
click my mind cause headaches started about a week after i got some
dental work , filled 2 cavities and general cleaning. Wondering if this
might be cause of my headaches. Its been a rollercoaster of a year dr.
to dr. Im 28 years old, dont smoke and dont drink.
Any response will be appreciated
Thanks !!!

It's probably not due to the fillings, but it's time to visit your
dentist. Unfortunately it's impossible to diagnose TMJ dysfunction over
the internet, but your dentist will be able to help you more.

Hi! You may well have hit the nail right on the head (sorry, xcuse the
pun!) TMJ disorders can cause symptoms similar to those you have
described and are very often brought on by dental work (another reason
to avoid them!) Enlist the services of a Remedial Therapist who
specializes in TMJ and/or Cranio-sacral disorders. With luck they will
be able to correct the imbalance. Good luck. BTW, was the dental work
peformed on the right side?
Cheers, all the best, Liane

By Remedial Therapis I assume you mean a qualified dental surgeon or an
oral & maxillofacial surgeon?

Hello George. I've been offline for a few months and I'm trying to make
a quick run through the posts that are still on my server. You may
recall that I have a special interest in the topic of (the) TMJ,
TM Disorders and the TMJ iatroepidemic. Realizing that this post and
thread go back about six weeks or more, I know that the thread is old
but the topic never seems to get "old" enough to have a new/progressive
"mainstream" thinking surface in each discussion.
Personally, I would be concerned about the patient seeking an opinion
from a maxillofacial surgeon unless that surgeon is known to be
extremely conservative when it comes to operating upon the TMJ for *any
reason*. Would you kindly expand upon your thoughts in the above posted
reply?
