I had a new crown placed a little more than a week ago, without RCT.
After the crown is placed, I started to experience pain when the tooth
(last lower-right mouler) is pressured against (to the oposite tooth or
food). I've never had pain with it before, before the crown prep and
during the week with a temporary crown.
My dentist took an x-ray yesterday and could not see any infection. He
has then made some ajustment to lower the crown so that it does not
contact the oposite tooth. It relived the pain caused by pressing
against the upper tooth, which made me feel much better without
frequent pressing and pain. However, after more than a day, I still can
not bite any thing with it. Any pressure on it would induce pain.
What might be the cause to such pain? Cracked tooth underneath? Bad
connection/fitness between the tooth and the crown? What are my
options/solutions?
