Thinking sereously about getting teeth whitening. Thought about it for
awhile.
Problem is I have a crown on my front tooth. I'm afraid getting it
whitened will make that one look rather odd. The crown has been there
for at least 10 years or longer.
Usually then can fit you with a temporary crown the same day you get
your teeth whitened. My dentist says you really won't see how white they
are for about 24-48 hours.
Why do they call it the one hour whitening if you won't see results for
awhile?
Maybe I'll get lucky and I won't even need to get another crown once
they are whitened.
Any opinions?
Susan
Dear Susan
The fact is that after tooth whitening procedures, the natural
tooth will has more white shade but the artificial like porcelain crown
will not. And actually after you recieved 1-hr tooth whitening you
should have more white teeth (*except in some cases),and it will have a
little darker in next day because of re-absorption of moistuer back to
tooth structure.
