Hello --
I've done the Invisalign treatment (2 years) and am at the
end-stage retainers. The problem that the invisalign treatment was
intended to fix -- overlapping tooth in front jaw, middle -- has worked
but the tooth does not seem to have stabilized. If I don't wear the
retainer for at least 16 hours every night, the tooth begins to move
again. My orthodontist has made dimples in the retainers and now has me
on a 6 month return checkup schedule. What should I be asking him?  I'm
afraid that this treatment has not really worked...

Of course the teeth will move back to whre they started from some what.
This is called Relapse.  The retainers must be worn in order for the
movement to stay.
