I just rececently graduated from dental school. Given the new NHS
contract is up in arms, I am struggling to find a VT post.

Are assistant positions still available, as I am really confused about
the whole idea of a performers list. googling for it makes it even more
confusing.

There are some hopital jobs as a dental officer which I may consider.

Any advice or help much appreciated.

My advice is: Go to Australia or NZ! Dentistry in the UK is a sinking
ship; we haven't seen the worse yet!

More seriously now, I think you need to get through VT to work in a NHS
post, but I'm not sure. If you have a Yahoo! account, go to
http://groups.yahoo.com then search for GDP-UK and join the mailing
list. There are over a 1,000 British dentists there and they'll be
happy to answer any question you have. It's a terrific tool to keep up
to date with news and techniques. I'll be very happy to see you there.

Good luck,
George

Hi George,

I was seriously considering that. I would love to do VT, but lots of
GDPs cant take on a VDP from a financial point of view :(

Thanks for the info, i'll join that group.
