Does anyone know of the problems that might arise having dental
treatment while on high dose steroids?  Are there any or is it all
straight forward stuff?

Only thing I can think of offhand is that steroids affect the
inflammatory response, and therefore may help mask periodontal and other
inflammatory disease.  Also, viral infections such as herpes frequently
spread much more rapidly in patients on steroid therapy.

Thank you.  At least it sounds easier to deal with than the low
platelet situation that the treatment is for.

I was due to have a mucocele mess removed from my lip but I'm thinking
that that will probably not now happen.  Wound healing was never my
strong point and now it'll be even worse.  Ho hum.
