10 days ago i went to a dentist for a problem with my wisdom tooth,
givin me pain periodically to all the arc.
It is evident taht the 8th moved the occlusion and was also giving me
some problems and had to be removed.
But, this dentist here told me that there was an unwanted contact
between two molars and filed some bumps on the 7th upper and lower tooth.
I can still feel the surface rougher that the other. Now my fear that
that tooth will be more suceptible to caries, and i've lost for good
part of my own enamel.
Not to mention the sillyness of doing this as I imagine that removing
tha 8th, which i'm gonna doo really soon, the occlusion will change again.

Maybe yes, maybe no. Sometimes it seems that wisdom teeth "push" the
teeth in front of them, but most of the time teeth tend to move toward
the midline. If there were premature contacts on the second molars it
it unlikely that removal of the third molars will eliminate this.
Altering the bite by so-called "occlusal equilibration" is a
well-accepted procedure when done SELECTIVELY. Unless the enamel was
entirely removed it is not going to increase your susceptibility to caries.
However, it should not be rough. Return to your dentist to polish the
enamel. The additional removal of structure will be trivial, and it
will make you more comfortable.
