Yes thats right. We now have a secret weapon defense system calle
trophy. It can detect an rpg and release a "counter-measure" actin
like a forcefield.

I am curious how this thing works.... I have read it forms a beam o
fragments to all sorts of things..

"They have to stop calling this a force field: the best force fields w
have today are WALLS. In fact, assuming no massive revolution i
physics, it's pretty likely that the wall is the best type o
forcefield you can get.
"Since nobody else has offered a viable explanation, I will try.
don't expect people to conclude that I'm right, but at least I tried
And I think I convinced myself
After watching the video many times you can see what appears to b
fragments flying toward the incoming missile. But strangely, only
couple of fragments. Not what you'd expect from a flak-gun. The on
thing that seems to favour an actual "force field" idea is tha
statement that the system can handle multiple simultaneous attacks.
flak gun can't exactly do that. But in slo-mo the "force field" appear
to apply some sort of physical motion against the missile, [see firs
video example] and the speed is approximately ten times the speed o
the missile, but in the opposite direction. And guess what travels a
ten times the speed of an RPG? Yes: sound itself. I can't figure ou
how a sound blast could do that kind of damage, without blasting th
ear drums of everyone in the neighborhood including the soldiers in th
tank. My guess is that there is some sort of artificial lightning bol
that does what a regular lightning bolt does. It causes the air itsel
to "vaporize" and the collapse of the vaccuum (which happens at th
speed of sound) is what is happening. If you aim the lightning bolt a
the missile, the disruption of the air will smack that missile rea
hard. Now that I've come up with this explanation, it certainly look
plausible. I wonder why they say it wouldn't work on helicopter
though. Perhaps the artificial lightning needs some sort of "grounding
which obviously isn't available on helicopters.
