I burned my mouth on some hot food several days ago. There's an angry red spot in there that really hurts when my tongue brushes against it and when food touches it. Orabase is good as a protectant when you're eating. If there is swelling or drainage, have your dentist look at it. But that's enough time to get through dinner, I guess.
