vizilite oral cancer screen

My dentist has a new gadget called vizilite used for oral cancer
screening. Does anyone have a sense of its diagnostic utility? Has it
been in use long? Does it offer that much more benefit over a
traditional screen for oral cancer?

My understanding is that it makes it easier to see
cancerous./precancerous leisions so that one treat them early.

George,

Just curious. Did your dentist find anything abnormal with the
vizilite in your case?

I am always suspicious of the gimmicky stuff out there,
selling bottles of mouthwash, oral cancer sticks and stuff.
A good thorough oral examination is always what's best.

Nope, I have not done it yet. I was waiting for more infor from this
group
