Crown is too wide and feels very un-natural

I recently had a crown put onto an implant a few days ago. The implant is in
the front part of 18, but 19 was missing also so the crown covers both of 18
and 19. But the crown is too wide on both sides (outer and inner) and it
feels very uncomfortable. It feels like there is always something in my
mouth and it feel very unnatural, especially when I have food on that side
of my mouth. I would estimate that it is about 1/8 inch too wide, on both
sides.

The dentist told me that I would get used to it being too wide and
protruding into my mouth, but I am looking for a second opinion. Is there
some reason why the crown would made to be wider than a normal tooth and
protrude into my mount? The dentist had a lot of trouble figuring out how to
do the crown on an implant (implant was done by oral surgeon), so I am not
100% sure he knows what he is doing.

Also, the crown was cemented on the implant and I wondering if it is even
feasible to remove it without damaging the implant?

One more thing. The crown is not flush with my gums and food gets trapped
under the crown almost every time I eat. Is this a normal installation? I
don't have that problem with a regular crown (on a tooth) that I have on #4.

Can you take a picture with a digital camera?

Interesting case!
