Periosontal cyst? Please take a look at this film

I was told by my dentist that my tooth (#28) has a prominent periodontal
cyst and needs to be extracted. The tooth is asymptomatic most of the time,
but on occasion I develop a small gum swelling at the base of #28 (which I
puncture). No pain or sensitivity in the tooth. My dentist (whom I trust -
but would like to confirm this Dx before extraction) feels that there is no
way to save the tooth and that I risk a possibility of Ludwig's
angina/cellulitis which could possibly compromise my airway and could
require an emergency tracheostomy. Scary stuff!
I would appreciate if you would take a look at the enclosed film and let me
know what you think.

Thanks! Martin in snowy NYC  (martsadowski@yahoo.com)
