Gum Recession From Brushing Too Hard?

Hi guys,
I recently noticed my gums have receded a bit, and it has given me
cause for concern. When I look at my gums, however, they don't look
particularily infected... Though they do bleed when I brush them
occassionally. I believe I may have a habit of brushing too roughly
(the bristles on my medium toothbrush are bent). I'm considering
getting an electric that gives me warnings when I'm pushing too hard.

Do you guys recommend any specific toothbrush, and... is it feasible
that my gum problem could be entirely caused from brushing too hard?
I've also recently discontinued use of whitening toothpaste I'd begin
to habitually use, and have replaced it with natural teatree oil
toothpast with neem and baking soda.

Any input of any kind is appreciated.
Thank you,
-- Daniel

I'm not a dentist, but had a similar problem. If you're looking int
electric toothbrushes, I'd recommend the Sonicare Elite, I found
managed to apply too much pressure even with the Oral-B 3D. Th
Sonicare works a treat. I prefer the smaller brushhead on the Oral-
though. Oh well, can't have everything..

letsconnect, I assume you had a receding gumline due to the same thing?
Did switching to the sonicare help? Did you find that the recession you
had was restored? I'm considering looking into a graft (even though the
damage has been minimal, it's really got me bothered).

YUP and post photos of your scraggily toothbrush.
