hello i am very concerned about my husbands recent experience at the dentist.
he has a molar with a cavity on it that recently chipped. it hurts him
something awful so he went to the dentist to get it pulled. we are
incredibly broke so that is why we figured to just get it pulled. we were
qouted 190 dollars for that procedure. he goes to the dentist and she sees
him for all of 5 minutes charges 70 bucks for the visit and tells him she
doesn't want to pull it because hes only 24, and she would feel bad. Which
is all undertandable (i suppose) but then she has the gall to tell him they
can fix it for 2500 dollars!!!! that is about 2 months pay for us. now is it
just me or is this just plain wrong???
the 2500 sounds about right, in fact cheap for for the part of the
country I am from.
(endo for molar = $1,200)
Build up = $200
Crown = 1,100
Is this the break down? or what does it all involve?
Ask about payment plans, ask about dental insurance, ask about state
and goverment assistance, call your state health department, etc.
Good luck.

I agree Steve. In fact that is why I advocate socialism.
Well, I mean for medicine and dentistry anyway, not for
groceries or Neiman-Marcus blouses .......
Hey! Ain't this stunning?

Wow, beautiful. The blouse is nice too. And here I thought you were going
to show me a picture of some broken tooth or root canal.

something like that
root canal and the crown stuff the thing is we dont have insurance and their
payment plan is half up front so after we explained that they still wouldn't
just pull the stupid tooth. i just dont understand its his mouth why cant
they just at least refer him to someone who would do it?
