I had a crown done on my last molar on the bottom right side of mouth.
After about 3 weeks I went back to dentist and he ground off my top
tooth above the crowned one and it felt great when I bit down in the
office and still feels fine-except when I eat, I cannot eat anything on
that side with that tooth without severe pain. I have to chew on the
left side of my mouth now.  I can't eat anything on the other side.
What could the problem be?  I hope you can help me:)

Hi, I'm not a dentist so don't listen to me, but I had the same problem
with a crown my dentist put on one of my molars. It was very pressure
sensitive and also sensitive to hot and cold.
I also couldn't eat on that side. My dentist wanted to have a root
canal done on it, saying that the nerve was too close to the surface of
the crown now. I refused that and said I would wait. It took quite
awhile (over 6 months) but it finally got better. It is now 15 years
later and the same crown is on the tooth.......no problems.
