Hello,
My top left 2nd pre-molar chipped off and now about half of the cusp is
left. Should I get a crown or composite filling to patch it?
TIA

crown it now or crown it later should be the real question,
depends on how much is remaining and how much of it is undamaged, the
dentist will try to go for the smallest thing and then the biggest, if it's
possible then composite might be good if it's not then rct, post and core
and then crown.
If you get a composite... in the future an rct, post and core, and crown
might be needed! You might decide to go for the crown directly and be it, I
wish you very good luck!
Cheers!

get the crown now the cusp takes a lot of torquing forces so a crown is
your best bet
