I had one done a year ago and it seems the dentist was supposed to put
a crown on the tooth after but never did.  Now it s falling apart.  Is
he not supposed to put a crown on?

Dear Lisa:
the dentist was supposed to put a crown?
no, you were supposed to go back to the dentist and have a crown put,
or, maybe they prefered just to install a filling and check if it works.
now you should go back to your dentist and ask him to see that tooth, he
might take an x ray and probably will suggest a post and core and a crown,
you already have rct the x ray will help tell also if it's ok and working
fine (or not), maybe you were lucky and broke just a wall, get to be queen!
get a crown!

Cheers!

Gabe
