Why can't your dentist insert Arestin in the pocket. I had 9 done. All
pockets healed up. No need for expensive surgery.
the pocket should be cleaned, subgingival tartar (below the line of the
gums) should be removed, it might need a surgery, but it is obvious that if
you brush more the gums will heal better, they will shrink back to normality
(instead of being swollen), bleeding will lessen or even dissappear after 2
weeks (more or less) and then the cleaning will be easier, and surgery might
not be needed, what you do is called PBT periodonthal basic treatment or
therapy, it means cleaning your teeth/gums better lowering down the level of
your gingivitis (gum's inflammation), have a hygienist do her job first, do
your job with the brush, and then wait to see if there's real need of
surgery, you might not need it but a deeper cleaning seems to me that will
be needed if it's 7 mm
Cheers!

But Arrestin' is such a bad term unless of course you are a cop.
