Actually there are no laws against impersonation. Yahoo and Hotmail and a few others never "investigate the facts." A complaint from Jan is usually enough.

Joel - 29 Jan 2006 21:16 GMT Everybody here is against amalgam. It reminds me of 30 years after the automobile was invented, some people were still saying, stop taking your horse into town. Who uses amalgam anymore?? Nobody. Its gone.

The up-to-date dentists never use amalgam. This is out of esthetic concerns, out of health for the tooth when a composite restoration is bonded, and thirdly, the POSSIBILITY of people like jan being correct.

Clinton - 30 Jan 2006 11:37 GMT >> Jan, its a fact. The up-to-date dentists never use amalgam. and thirdly, the > POSSIBILITY of people like jan > being correct. Even most "amalgam victims" realize that most amalgams give off "relatively" low amounts of Hg and many people "seem" to tolerate it well. Of course, if you figure the average exposure of Hg from amalgam and get into the science of low level effects, it's an incredibly complex issue. Informed consent is the part that really miffs me. However it is also a fact that 1 out 4 people know what is in an amalgam including the FDA. In other words, it's not like the public isn't aware or hasn't been effectively endorsing the use of Hg in dentistry for a long time.

Please define "up-to-date" and how many denitsts are "up-to-date." I think there are still a lot of dentists using amalgam. We may have to look up some statistics to see just how many there are.
I think amalgam may still be used extensively at the sliding fee clinics. Amalgam has always been the material of choice when I bring kids there. None have received compostie fillings. The dentist calls them "silver fillings."
This is the same as amalgam, correct?? (or not)
Thanks, -Sue

And let's not forget the fact that the dentist can charge MUCH more for a white filling than for an amalgam.
But I'm sure that's just a coincidence.

I have ALWAYS been correct!
Make a note of it, JoelY
Dr. Gabriel Schugurensky, D.M.D. - 30 Jan 2006 23:21 GMT yeah! Jan's right! it's better to extract all teeth, and then have a nice and cool bunch o' titanium implants with some bars and a very rose acrilic denture over them, instead of fillings. yeah!!! (now really if you had brushed and flossed like were told, you'd never have had fillings at all) "Reality is mostly heavier than we can lift"
