My dentist keeps wanting to try different things (billing me every time, of
course). He did mention that an endodontic exam would give a better
picture of what's going on, but he want to put a temp crown on for six
months to deal with my pressure sensitivity and let the tooth 'calm down'.
Does that exam give a complete picture of problems with the tooth? Any
cracks, infections, etc.?

Hi Patrick,
As you know, I cannot answer your questions, but here is a link that
another patinet offerred here not too long ago in reference to Root
canal procedure.
Excerpt from post made by JimSocal on Jan 8, 12:23 pm
"Found a good site that explains these things. Seems to be very well
done and accurate but I'm not a dentist. Maybe you dentists can take a
look at it and confirm or deny that it is well done and accurate.
In any case I enjoyed the enlightenment it gave me re what actually
goes on during a root canal, a crown placement, etc. "

I hope this helps,
